MockAI ("we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. No account creation or login is required to use the app.
• Interview history & XP: Stored locally on your device only (localStorage). We never see this.
• Anonymous Device ID: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to assign your device a private, random ID. This contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify you — it only lets us prevent abuse (e.g. someone tampering with the public leaderboard).
• Leaderboard entries: If you set a nickname and complete an interview, your chosen nickname, the role practiced, and your score are stored and shown publicly on the in-app leaderboard. Don't use your real name if you'd rather stay anonymous.
• Feedback submissions: If you use the in-app Feedback button, we store your message, selected category, and — only if you choose to provide it — your email address, so we can follow up.
• Google Analytics: Anonymous usage data (page views, sessions). No personal info.
• AI responses: Your answers are sent to Anthropic's API for feedback generation only. Not stored by us.
We use the following third-party services to run MockAI:
• Firebase (Google) — anonymous authentication, leaderboard, feedback, and referral storage.
• Anthropic API — generates interview questions and feedback from your answers in real time.
• EmailJS — sends an automatic confirmation email if you submit feedback with your email address.
Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policies.
All AI processing uses Anthropic's secure API. Your interview answers are processed in real-time and not stored on any server. Leaderboard and feedback entries are protected so only you can create your own entries — others cannot edit or delete data that isn't theirs.
MockAI has an optional referral feature. If you share your referral link and someone uses it, we store an anonymous count against your referral code so you can earn a welcome XP bonus. No personal data is exchanged between referrer and referred user.
MockAI is currently free to use with no limits. You may use this service for personal interview preparation. You may not use it for any unlawful purpose, including submitting abusive or offensive content in your nickname or feedback. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service, or introduce paid features in the future, at any time — this policy will be updated if that happens.
